The fastest rising prospect list for the 2026 class puts a heavy focus on where that athlete projects in comparison to what he’s done thus far. Expect most of these individuals to be listed as player of the year favorites or candidates this coming season.

In limited time last season Mitchell excelled at QB for the Mavericks. A year from now he could be the most offered athlete in the state. He has that type of potential. Expect him to lead a very talented Mountainside team to the Metro League title & make a deep run in the 6A playoffs.

2. Lamarcus Bell Lamarcus Bell 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Lake Oswego | 2026 State OR 5-11 190 RB Lake OswegoOFFERS (3) Oregon St, Washington St, Nevada

Bell could end up the #1 ranked player in Oregon for the 2026 class. His off-season success and multiple D1 offers are a testament to his work ethic and god given ability. If the Lakers win ball games as expected I could see Bell being a 2000+ yard back with 25 TDs.

3. Chaz Katoanga Chaz Katoanga 6'1" | 170 lbs | DB Nelson | 2026 State OR 6-1 170 CB Nelson

I’ve personally talked a lot about Katoanga over the last few months and for good reason. His length and overall athletic ability at the CB position is special. If you watch the film very few athletes in the region compare.

4. Killian Sombe Killian Sombe 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Central Catholic | 2026 State OR 5-10 200 RB Central CatholicOFFERS (1) Washington St

I can’t say enough good things about Sombe. Thus far he has had one of the best-off seasons of any athlete in the NW, recently landing an offer from Washington St. He was a RB MVP at the Northwest Showcase, the region’s premier event at Western Oregon, after averaging 9.5 yards per carry with 11 TDs for the state champs as a sophom*ore.

5. Andreas Nicolaidis Andreas Nicolaidis 6'4" | 235 lbs | TE Central Catholic | 2026 State OR 6-3 235 TE Central CatholicOFFERS (2) UNLV, Colorado St

The Greek Freak will team with 6-6 standout Seager Milholen Seager Milholen 6'6" | 235 lbs | TE Central Catholic | 2027 State OR 27′ to give the Rams potentially one of the top TE duos in the country. Nicolaidis had a solid sophom*ore season catching 16 passes for 230 yards and 2 TDs, while adding a couple D1 offers.

6. Joe Stimpson Joe Stimpson 5'11" | 170 lbs | ATH Jesuit | 2026 State OR 6-0 180 ATH Jesuit

Look for Stimpson to be a 1stteam all-Metro guy the next two seasons. He was hands down one of the top athletes on the 7v7 circuit within Oregon. The Crusaders graduate a host of D1 talent, so he will get his opportunities.

7. James Wade James Wade 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Central Catholic | 2026 State OR 5-11 170 CB Central Catholic

Wade helped himself out a bunch over the off season, performing well as part of Team Lillard, and earning Under Armour All American honors at their camp. Expect him to be wildly influential in the secondary for the Rams, after a good sophom*ore campaign where he had 14 tackles and 2 INTs.

8. Hudson Kurland Hudson Kurland 6'4" | 200 lbs | QB Lake Oswego | 2026 State OR 6-4 200 QB Lake Oswego

Kurland played a backup role last year so there is still a lot yet to be determined. That being said he possesses a host of intangibles and could thrive in Coach Coury’s system. The move to LO was a good one.

9. Roman Mallard Roman Mallard 6'0" | 180 lbs | ATH Jesuit | 2026 State OR 6-0 180 SS Jesuit

This kid just continues to get better. Mallard’s upside is through the roof coming from a football family. He will project as a 1stteam all-Metro athlete this season, after starting every game as a sophom*ore.

10. Logan Uitto Logan Uitto 6'1" | 175 lbs | ATH Silverton | 2026 State OR 6-0 175 WR Silverton

Uitto didn’t put up big numbers as a sophom*ore but will project as a 1stteam all-conference WR for a loaded 5A Silverton team. He had an outstanding 7v7 season as part of Team Alpha & could thrive with returning POY Sawyer Teeney Sawyer Teeney 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB Silverton | 2025 State OR distributing the ball.
