I signed up for new Uverse TV & fiber and had it installed over a month ago. I've been prompted to register my new account (I have an existing wireless account) since I ordered the new service but can't ever get through the process. After selecting my new ID, I get an error that says they're experiencing website maintenance and to try back later. For over a month now.

A couple of weeks ago I got on support chat and they said to try in 5 hours and I'd be able to get through. Still, no.

Without being able to complete the registration process, I can't access my DVR online. Is there some sort of trick to get through this that anyone knows?

You're talking about the lsreg.att.net registration right?

That is odd that only your online DVR function is the only thing effected. Normally you wouldn't even be able to browse the internet until the account was registered.

Call into customer support and ask them to help with the registration process (1-800-288-2020). They should be able to force it through.

Yes, thelsreg.att.net registration. Even the installer tried to force it through and it wouldn't work. My service works fine and my bills have been successfully combined and I can access MyAtt to view my account, bill, wireless, etc. But I can't log in to my Uverse.

I have tried customer support. They've told me that they've done what they can on their end but I need to "try again in a few hours" to go through and finish the process on the website. This is the error that comes up every time I get to the end:

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. First of all, please try to use a different web browser because if this error message continues to appear even after the systems are actually updated, it might be an issue with the browser. According to chat support today, this is a known issue and is being worked on. I find it odd that it's been over 2 months and the system is still being upgraded. Not much else I can do, I guess. So frustrating that every support avenue has a different answer and "solution" to this problem, though.

It's now been almost 4 months since I had UVerse installed and I can't register my account. And I still get this "We're upgrading our systems" error message. This is ridiculous. I can't access my DVR online until this happens. There is no way it's taking them this long to upgrade systems.

No. It's now been almost 6 months. Every time I contact support, they tell me it'll be working within x number of hours (not true) or they'll tell me they've done the registration for me and it should be working within a certain amount of time (also not true). I'm getting pretty irritated that I can't use any of the features I'm paying for, like accessing my DVR from the web, and getting repeatedly lied to.

We are having EXACTLY the same issue - and we are constantly being promised it will be fixed "within 24 hours" or "soon", or "it has been escalated"... I am a terminal cancer patient, and I MUST HAVE access to our voice mail box and other features that we can only access once we are registered. I am about to contact a lawyer about this - we are paying for services that we are not receiving...

I've been chatting (yet again) with tech support - they are promising me yet another call back, but I've been promised that over a dozen times now, and only once has anyone ever called me back. I'm literally dying from cancer, and need these services ASAP so we can check our voice mail, etc. which we can't do until we register our service. My doc has left me messages that I can't even access right now because we haven't registered. And this is KILLING ME!!!
