She graduated from Hume Fogg High School, attended Vanderbilt University 19334 and married Robert McDonald Gray, Jr. in 1934. As the wife of a career Army officer, she was stationed with her family at Charlotte, NC, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, CA, Trieste, Italy, Frankfurt, Germany, Ft. Bragg, NC, Ft. Stewart, GA, MacDill AFB, FL, before establishing a Knoxville residence in 1963.

She had resided at Shannondale since 2003. Mrs. Gray was a Presbyterian, member of Frist Presbyterian Church of Knoxville, former member of the Rosa Scott Class, member of Talahi Garden Club, U.T. Faculty Women, Knoxville Chorus and several bridge clubs. She was a generous benefactor of the Knoxville Symphony and Knoxville Opera.

She was an avid U.T. sports fan and loved music, travel, bridge, singing and gardening. An active sportswoman, she played tennis, golf and bowling. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Spearman and Ruth D. Carmichael.

She is survived by her son, Don of Cincinnati, OH; sisters, Lillian Trabue of Nashville, TN, Nancy Dale Palm of Houston, TX and Katherine Potts of Shelbyville, TN; sister-in- law, Jenny Lou Nimnicht of Waynesville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Erlene T. Groves; daughter, Peggy Ann (Cecil) Scott son, James Terry (Deanne) Groves; grandchildren, Julie (Jimmy) Hire, Jennifer (Donnie) Hendricks and Jill (Steve) Marcum; nine great grandchildren. He has been a Member of the Hendersonville Church of Christ for 68 years. His remains are at Hendersonville Funeral Home where the family will receive friends 12 noon til 2 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2004. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, October 9, 2004 at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Keith Parker officiating.

Nephews will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are the Elders and Deacons of Hendersonville Church of Christ and Grandsons Tony, Jimmy, Donnie and Steven. and Carrie Mahalah Good Furber. She was predeceased by her husband, Thurmond Glasgow Jones, Sr. and by her three older brothers, Charles W. Furber III and Ralph Good Furber, Spartanburg, and Warren Otis Furber, Dallas, NC. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Anne (Betty) Jones Waidelich (Frederick), Rochester, NY and Ilene Jones Cornwell, Nashville; one son, Thurmond G.

(Sonny) Jones, Jr. (Alice Brown), Cave Creek, AZ; nephew and foster son, Warren O. Furber, Jr. (Jane Elizabeth Lewellen), Portland, OR; four grandchildren, James David Cornwell (Karen Haggard), Fairview, TN, Robert Grant Cornwell, Nashville, Thurmond G. (Trey) Jones III (Lynette Gage), Papillion, NE, Amanda Claudette Jones Rasmussen (Michael), Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam; and three great-grandchildren, Evie Elizabeth Cornwell, Kingston Springs, TN, Jason Gregory Jones and Kyse Amanda Jones, Papillion, NE.

Cremation was by Hibbett and Hailey Funeral Home, Nashville. Mortuary, Spartanburg is in charge of arrangements. The daughter of Dr. Joshua Thomas Prichard and Florence Cook Prichard. She was born in Camden, NY on December 31, 1906. Mrs. Huntington lived in Rome and Camden, NY for most of her life and in Nashville for the past ten years.

She was a graduate of Syracuse University, a life long Member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She taught English in Bellville and Camden, NY schools. Mrs. Huntington was married to Benjamin N. Huntington of Rome on March 20, 1937 at her parents home in Camden.

She was previously married to Ray Butler Clark of Camden who died in 1932. During her years in Camden, she sat on the Library Board of Trustees, serving as Secretary, was a Member of the Philomathic Study Club, a Member of the United Presbyterian Church of Camden where she taught Sunday School and was active as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. Mr. and Mrs. Huntington moved to Rome, NY in 1977 and Mrs.

Huntington became a Member of the First Presbyterian Church of Rome where she was a Deacon and the Fort Stanwix Chapter of the D.A.R. Mrs. Huntington is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin N. Huntington; her sister, Jean Prichard Kirch. Surviving Mrs.

Huntington is her brother, Lynn Prichard of Camden; children, Mary Faith Huntington of Boothbay Harbor, ME, Benjamin N. (Barbara) Huntington Jr. of Evergreen, CO, Carol H. Wattleworth of Nashville, TN and Henry C. Huntington of Burnt Ranch, CA; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; eleven nieces and nephews.
