Victor Allen Tinder Sr.
March 23, 1948 - August 14, 2016
Victor Vic Allen Tinder Sr., age 68, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at his home in Warsaw, Missouri.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.
Graveside Services and Military Honors will be held at 10:00 A.M., Sunday, August 28, 2016 at The Platte Memorial Park in Platte City, Missouri.
Vic was born March 23, 1948 to Victor Tinder and Nadine Ellen (Wingo) Tinder.
Vic served with the United States Military during the Vietnam War and spent the rest of his life working as a truck driver traveling the highways of the United States.
Vic is survived by his 3 sons; Walter Lee Tinder, Michael Allen Tinder along with wife Amanda (Denison) Tinder, Victor Allen Tinder Jr. along with wife Ana (Guzman) Tinder, and his 2 daughters; Vickey Sue McKiernan along with husband Mark McKiernan, and Jessica Diane Tinder. Vic has 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Ronald W. Mercer

Ronald W. Mercer, age 78, of Warsaw, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on June 1, 1938 in Blackwater, Missouri, the son of Walter and Nellie Mae Mercer. He grew up and attended school in Blackwater and Pilot Grove, Missouri.
He was united in marriage to Ruth E. Kempf in 1969. They made their home in Raytown where Ronnie worked as a heavy equipment operator.
In 1974, they moved to Warsaw. Ronnie worked on the Truman Dam for Groves Construction. He later was employed by the Corps of Engineers and Hilty Quarries.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth, his parents and two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by one son Rodney Mercer, of Warsaw, his sister Norma Brown, of Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements for his cremation are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home of Warsaw.
Wanda Oliver
October 22, 1932 - August 03, 2016
Wanda Lavauan Oliver (Pouncey) left us to meet with Jesus on August 3, 2016, following an ordeal with cancer.
Born in Palo Verde, Arizona, on October 22, 1932, Wanda married A. E. (Red) Oliver on November 21, 1948 in Yuma, Arizona. During their marriage, they raised three daughters; Brenda Joy Hedgecoth (Clyde), Sharon Faye Neal (Don), and Debbie Oliver Burke (Bob).
Wanda is survived by her husband, Red, her three daughters, five grandchildren (Ricky Franklin Herrin, Chad Oliver Herrin, Sam Houston Yarbrough, Shon DeWayne Neal, and James Robert Neal), and five great-grandchildren (James Robert Neal, Britta Amanda Neal, Kaweah Chamisa Yarbrough, Atsah Ryan Rias Yarbrough, and Isabella May Luna Perea Yarbrough).
Wanda had many interests over the years. An avid genealogist, she traced her family back to 1723 and as an amateur poet, saw several of her poems published. Wanda loved the outdoors, and took many family camping and fishing trips across the U.S. Her hobbies included gardening, fishing, bird watching, oil painting, stained glass, quilting, sewing, knitting, and embroidering.
Wanda will be missed by the community. She was an active member of the Assembly of God Church in Warsaw, Missouri, a volunteer at the Warm House for 13 years, and a volunteer at the Clothes Closet for 4 years. Wanda was also the Benton County Election Board Supervisor.
Her family and friends mourn her loss, but know that she is no longer in pain and has found rest in Heaven.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2016, with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the Reser Funeral Home.
Graveside services and interment will be at the Shawnee Cemetery in Warsaw.
The family extends a special Thank You to the Benton County Hospice whose staff provided such wonderful and caring support in Wandas final days.
Kenneth Dale Jobe, Sr.

Kenneth D. Jobe, age 66, of Edwards, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at his home near Edwards.
He was born on May 1, 1950 in Trenton, Missouri, the son of J.W. "Bud" and Margaret Louise Girdner Jobe.
He was raised mostly around the Kansas City, Kansas area and attended Wyandotte High School. He worked for Associated Wholesale Groceries as a mechanic for thirty years, retiring in 2003.
He was married to Mary Beth Yung in 1999. After he retired, they moved to their lake home near Edwards.
He like to fish, travel and loved being with his family and friends. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #955.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kenneth Jobe, Jr.
He is survived by his wife Mary Beth, of the home, a daughter, Kelly Brown, of Kearney, Missouri, a step-son, Jason Prier and a stepdaughter Lori Simbeck, eight grandchildren, three brothers, Dan Jobe, Fred Jobe, and Mike Jobe, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Kenneth Jobe will be held at the Colony Baptist Church near Edwards, on Monday, August 8, 2016, at 2:00 P.M., with a visitation being held one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial will be in the Mossy Cemetery, Edwards.
Memorials can be made to Twin Lakes Hospice in care of Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw.
Wayne Linhardt

Ralph Wayne Linhardt, age 71, of Lincoln, died Sunday evening, July 24, 2016 at his home.
He was born April 3, 1945, in Temple, TX, the son of Ralph Oscar and Marjorie Ellen (Moiser) Linhardt.
Wayne grew up in rural Pettis County, MO, on the family farm. He attended Camp Branch School in Pettis County and graduated from Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia. He then attended the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, University of Texas Tech and Draughon College in Kansas City, MO.
Wayne enlisted into the United States Air Force on September 27, 1965, serving during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as Sargent on January 23, 1969.
On October 17, 1970, in Kansas City, MO, he was united in marriage to Linda Diemer. In 1976, they moved to their farm home near Lincoln, MO, and in 2000, they sold the farm moving to town.
Wayne was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Sedalia, MO. He was past president of the Benton County Extension Service, past Scout Master of Boy Scout Troup #33 of Lincoln, and had served as Benton County Public Administrator. He was a member and Past Master of the Shawnee Masonic Lodge #653 A.F. and A.M. of Warsaw and member of the Kansas City Valley of the Scottish Rite and the Benton County Scottish Rite Club. He loved fishing, hunting and boating and spent much of his free time at the lake or on the river.
He was preceded in death by his father on October 17, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home, two sons, Michael Wayne Linhardt, and wife, Tiffany, of Athens, Georgia and Jason Wayne Linhardt of Warrensburg, MO, his mother, Marjorie Linhardt, of Sedalia, MO, an uncle, Wilbur Mosier also of Sedalia, many cousins and friends.
Funeral and Masonic Services will be held at Davis-Miller Funeral Home on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:30 A.M.
Family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 A.M., Friday, at the funeral home.
Burial and military rites will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Memorials contributions are suggested to KC Hope Lodge (for cancer patients) the Benton County Hospice, St. Lukes Gottlieb Research Heart Failure Transplant Fund of Kansas City or his memorial park bench to be placed at the Swinging Bridge Trail Head in Warsaw, MO.

Carol Ann Linn
June 08, 1938 - July 22, 2016
Carol Ann Linn was called home to be with Jesus on July 22, 2016.
Her parents, Art and Arlene Parson, welcomed her into their family on June 8, 1938.
She lived in rural Humboldt, Iowa, until her family moved to California. She attended Stephens College and later Fresno State University, where she obtained her education degree. She was employed by the Fresno Unified School District in California for thirty-two years in various teaching and mentoring positions. After her official retirement, she continued working for the Sierra Unified School District in their after school and adult education programs.
Carol loved music. She especially enjoyed playing her stringed instruments with the Civil War Enactment Band. She was an avid quilter whose home, and those blessed by her gifts, were warmed with her beautiful quilts. She enjoyed tracing her family's roots and was proud to be a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and The Colonial Dames. Carol's continuing devotion was to her Lord and her church.
Carol was married to Doug Linn on August 1, 1987. They lived near Clovis, California until 2008, when they established a home near Warsaw.
Doug survives to cherish her memory, as does Carol's daughter, Sancie Moreland, who lives is California.
Carol is also survived by her brother Jim Parsons and his family, and by her brother Jerry (Jerri Ann) and their family.
A memorial services will be held on August 4th at the Warsaw Bible Church.
Interment will be at a later date in Humboldt, Iowa.
Anna Marie Bryant
November 17, 1935 - July 24, 2016
Anna M. Bryant, age 80, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on November 17, 1935 in Clinton, Missouri, the daughter of Gorman and Mildred Riddle.
She is survived by five sons; Rick Alvin Kendrick, Sr. and his wife, Marsha D. of Blue Springs, Missouri, Dwaine Allen Kendrick and his wife, Robyn Louise, of Warsaw, Jodie Ray Kendrick and his wife, Nancy of Warsaw, Rodney Michael Kendrick of Garden City, Missouri and Stanley William Kendrick and his wife, Tonya Marie of Holden, Missouri.
She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Memorial services for Anna M. Bryant will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri.
Lily Marie Mefford

Lily Marie (Carter)(Williams) Mefford, age 96, formerly of Lincoln, Missouri.
She was born on March 7, 1920 near St. Joe, Arkansas, the daughter of Charles and Pauline (James) Carter.
In December 1938, she was united in marriage to Luther B. Williams in Everton, Arkansas, and unto this union, were born five sons, Boyd, James, Roger, Phillip, and Ricky.
Marie and Luther, along with Luther's parents, owned the Williams Shoe Store in Harrison Arkansas from 1941 to 1949. In 1951, they moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked for the Katz Drug Company.
She lost her husband, and then married Arnis Mefford on May 10, 1973. They moved to Lincoln, Missouri, in 1975 to retire.
Marie attended the First Baptist Church of Lincoln. She was proud to be a Christian.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, both of her brothers, all three of her sisters, two sons, Roger and Ricky, one granddaughter, Gina Williams Davis, and one grandson, Kristopher Williams.
She is survived by a son Boyd and his wife Linda of Blue Springs, Missouri, a son James and his wife Linda of Independence, Missouri, a son Phillip and his wife Jane of Bradenton, Florida, Rick's wife Cheryl Williams of Warsaw, Missouri.
She also leaves behind six grandkids, 21 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
Services for Marie will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Lincoln.
