Dec. 8-15

Dec. 8-18

• Online Auction, sponsored by The Solomon Schechter Day School of Raritan Valley, East Brunswick, through 6 p.m. on Dec. 18 at www.ssdsrv.cmarket.com. More than 150 items on which to bid for holiday gift-giving. Categories include golf, sports tickets, shows, restaurants, salons, jewelry, getaways, kids stuff, summer camps, home goods, business. • Adopt-A-Family, sponsored by the South River Elementary School PTA, to make the holiday season more enjoyable for disadvantaged children in South River. • Toys for Tots Collection, sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR), during regular mall hours, in front of Stride Rite, near Mega Movies, at Brunswick Square Mall, Route 18, East Brunswick. New, unwrapped toys and monetary contributions accepted. (732) 238-3600.

Dec. 8-24, Saturdays & Sundays

• Toys for Tots Collection, sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR), next to the Santa Claus display at Menlo Park Mall, Edison. New, unwrapped toys accepted. Dec. 10

• Harlem Wizards vs. Immaculate Conception Saints Basketball Game, doors open at noon, game begins at 1 p.m., in the gym at Immaculate Conception School, South Street, Spotswood. Halftime audience-participation activities. Tickets for adults cost $10 in advance, $12 at the door; children under age 2 admitted free of charge. • KinderKlassics Book Fair, in honor of Jewish Book Month, sponsored by the Etz Chaim Parents Association, 4-6:30 p.m. on Dec. 12 and 13, at Etz Chaim Monroe Township Jewish Center, 11 Cornell Ave., and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 11 at the Monroe Township Community Center, Monmouth Road. Books for all ages, games, crafts, music, more. Shoppers asked to bring a nonperishable food item to be donated to a Jamesburg food pantry. Dec. 13

• Night at Friendly’s, sponsored by the Walter M. Schirra School PTA, Old Bridge, 5-10 p.m., at Friendly’s, Route 9 and Ferry Road, Old Bridge. Percentage of every school supporter’s bill will go toward upcoming PTA events for students. Participants should let their server know they are there to support Schirra. All welcome.
