Arrival and departure information for the North Cape Line voyages (2024)

We are excited to welcome you on boardMS Trollfjordto experience the best of Norway’s coast and culture.

Below you will find important arrival and departure information for all North Cape Line voyages. Please note that the information provided is subject to change, and some services described may not be included in your personal travel arrangements. 

If your voyage starts in Bergen or Oslo, you will receive details for your stay (including opening hours of our hospitality desk at the hotel) a few days prior to arrival.  Please check your email/SMS. If your voyage starts in Tromsø, you will receive a welcome letter with further information and exact timings at the hotel.

Departing from Bergen

Jektevik Terminal, Nøstegaten 30, 5010 Bergen

Check-in opens at 10:00 and closes at 13:30. The ship opens at 12:00, and cabins are available from 14:00.

Departing from Oslo

Revierkaia, Revierstredet, 0150 Oslo

Check-in opens at 12:00 and closes at 17:00. Cabins are available from 15:00.

Please note: MS Trollfjord will depart from the following terminal on 24/03/2024: Filipstad cruise terminal, Filipstadveien 10, 0250 Oslo.

Departing from Tromsø

Prostneset, Quay 8 (next to the terminal), Samuel Arnesens gate 3, 9008 Tromsø

Check-in opens at 08:00 and closes at 17:00. A mandatory health and safety brief will take place onboard. Cabins are available from 17:00.

Please note:Owing to operational considerations, MS Trollfjord will depart from Quay 21 at Terminalgata, 9019 Tromsø, on the following dates: 30/01/2024 (at 21:00); 23/02/2024 (at 21:00), and 30/03/2024 (at 18:00).

Transfer from the airport to hotel

To get to the city centre, take theFlybussen(the official airport shuttle bus) from platform A5 in front of thearrivalshall (click here to see a map). You can find the transfer times on theofficial timetable. Once on the bus,you'llneed to show the driver your applicable transfer voucher, which you can find in your travel documents.   

All hotels are located within walking distance of the bus stops (click here to see a map). You can find your specific hotel information on your itinerary.  

The designated Flybussen stop for your hotel is as follows: 

• Clarion Hotel Admiral: Strandkaiterminalen (120 m) 

• Clarion Hotel Bergen: Torget C (240 m) or Torget D (140 m) 

Overnight in Bergen

Once you arrive at your hotel, you can check in at 15:00. The rest of the day is yours to explore Bergen. You can find your hotel details on your itinerary. Breakfast will also be provided in the morning.

Embarking on MS Trollfjord

Check-in for your voyage will take place in the morning at the hotel. Our team will be there to help you and exact timings will be provided in the welcome letter. Please remember to bring your passport or National ID card as well as your booking confirmation. All guests must attend the check-in.

After breakfast and check-in, a transfer bus (clearly marked with an ‘MS Trollfjord’ sign) will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the Jektevik Terminal in time for embarkation.

All guests must attend a safety briefing in the Guest Lounge Lecture Hall, located on the second floor of the terminal. 

Once on board, lunch will be served between 12:00-14:30, and your cabin will be ready for you at 14:00. Between 15:00-17:45, you’ll meet yourCoastal Experience Teamwho will be organising onboard activities and lectures throughout your voyage.

As the ship sails from Bergen at 14:30, your scenic adventure along Norway’s coast is underway.

Disembarking MS Trollfjord in Oslo

Your journey on board MS Trollfjord will come to an end at Revierkaia in Oslo at 08:00.Please note: MS Trollfjord will instead dock at Filipstad terminal on 24/03/2024.

After breakfast on board, you’ll enjoy a guided bus tour of Oslo (approx. 3 hours), which stops at Vigeland Sculpture Park and, if weather allows,Holmenkollen Ski Jump. We recommend wearing warm, comfortable shoes and wind and weatherproof clothes.

The tour will end at your hotel, Clarion The Hub. Breakfast is included at the hotel the following morning.  

Transfer from airport to city centre 

To travel between the airport and your hotel, take the Flytoget airport express train from the platforms that can be accessed from the baggage claim exit. Your ticket is included in your travel documents as a QR code - you will need to scan this to enter the platform. This is valid on either of the Flytoget trains (F1 and F2), but not on regular VY trains. 

The service leaves every 10 minutes from platform 3 (subject to change) and takes around 20 minutes to Oslo Central Station; please see the timetable for more information. All trains are equipped with free Wi-Fi, power sockets and toilets. Your hotel (Clarion The Hub) is located within walking distance (350m) of Oslo central station (Jernbanestasjon/Oslo S).  

Overnight in Oslo 

Check-in to Clarion the Hub hotel from 15:00 and the rest of the day is yours to explore in Oslo. If you arrive earlier, you will be able to store your luggage at the hotel. Breakfast will be provided in the hotel in the morning.  

Embarking on MS Trollfjord

After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll enjoy a guided bus tour of Oslo (approx. 3 hours), which stops at Vigeland Sculpture Park and if weather allows, we will stop at Holmenkollen Ski Jump and ends at Revierkaia terminal in time for embarkation. We recommend wearing warm, comfortable shoes and wind and weatherproof clothes.

The tour ends at Revierkaia terminal in time for embarkation (please note: MS Trollfjord will instead depart from Filipstad terminal on 24/03/2024).. Your luggage must be marked with your cabin number. Luggage tags can be picked up at the Hurtigruten hospitality desk at the hotel.

Lunch will be served between 12:00-14:30, and your cabin will be ready for you at 15:00. Between 15:00-17:45, you’ll meet yourCoastal Experience Teamwho will be organising onboard activities and lectures throughout your voyage. They will also walk you through a mandatory safety briefing.

Your scenic adventure along Norway’s coast gets underway at around 18:00, as we set sail from Oslo.

Disembarking from MS Trollfjord

Your journey on board MS Trollfjord will come to an end at Jektevik Terminal in Bergen at 07:00.

After breakfast on board,you’lldisembark for a guided bus tour of Bergen (approx. 3 hours).You’llenjoy visiting well-known sites such asNordnespeninsula, medievalHåkon’sHall, the Renaissance-eraRosenkrantzTower, and 12th-century St Mary’s Church, known asMariakirkenin Norwegian.This excursion will end at your hotel. Specific timings will be provided on board, and you can find your hotel details on your itinerary.    

Overnight in Bergen  

Check-in will be available from 15:00, and the rest of the day is yours to explore. The next morning breakfast will be provided at the hotel. 

Arrival in Tromsø

Transfer from airport to hotel

To get to your hotel, take the red Bussring (official airport bus) which departs in front of the arrivals hall. You can find exact transfer times on theofficial timetable; however, these times may vary on weekends. The transfer time is approximately 15 minutes, and the closest stop to your hotel is either Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum (Clarion The Edge) or Scandic Ishavshotellet (Clarion Collection Aurora).

When boarding the bus, you’ll need to show the driver your applicable transfer voucher which can be found in your travel documents.

Overnight in Tromsø

You can find your specific hotel details on your itinerary. You can check in to your hotel from 15:00, and the rest of the day is yours to explore Tromsø. Breakfast will be provided the following morning.

Embarking on MS Trollfjord

The next morning, a short transfer will take you from your hotel to the ship. On the way, you’ll enjoy an inclusive bus tour (approx. 3 hours) where you’ll visit three of Tromsø’s most famous attractions: the Arctic Cathedral, Polaria centre, and Mount Storsteinen. You’ll find specific details and timings in the welcome letter. We recommend wearing warm, comfortable shoes and wind and weatherproof clothes.

Once you have checked in on board, lunch will be served between 12:00-14:30, and your cabin will be ready for you at 17:00. You’ll meet yourCoastal Experience Teamwho will be organising onboard activities and lectures throughout your voyage. They will also take you through a mandatory safety briefing.

Your scenic adventure along Norway’s coast gets underway at around 18:00 as we set sail from Tromsø.

Disembarking MS Trollfjord in Bergen

Your journey on board MS Trollfjord will come to an end at Jektevik Terminal in Bergen at 07:00.

After breakfast on board, a transfer will take you from the ship to your hotel. Specific timings will be provided on board, and you can find your hotel details on your itinerary. Please bring all your luggage on the transfer bus.

Overnight in Bergen

Check-in will be available from 15:00, and the rest of the day is yours to explore. If you’d prefer to head out and explore, you can leave your luggage at the hotel until your room is ready. The next morning, breakfast will be provided at the hotel.

Departure from Bergen: Optional transfer from hotel to airport

Your travel documents contain the required vouchers that you will need to present to the bus driver.  Please note that not all transfers listed may be included in your travel arrangements, so please see your personal travel itinerary for your specific transfers.

To get to the airport, take the Flybussen (the official airport shuttle bus) close to your hotel. You can find the transfer times on theofficial timetable. When you board the bus, you'll need to show the driver your applicable transfer voucher, which you can find in your travel documents.
