So exciting....I know I need a cruise now, and would love to see Alaska! So maybe this is the cruise for us....we've only ever been on one Disney cruise and loved it, but kids are grown now.

Now this makes us want to go on an alaskan cruise. Our friends in Vancouver have wanted us to go on one with them for years. After watching these videos it makes us want to go 😊

Thank you for sharing this information. We went on a cruise a long time ago and we hated it. I like how this cruise seems a lot more quiet, and peaceful. You definitely had me at the balcony view. WOW! I also love the fact that the pool area is heated, so people can swim even when it's cold out. I agree a longer cruise is the way to go!!

Holland America is the best for adult cruising. Very Mature experience. The Glaciers are awesome!

I work at a travel agency and boy am I happy to hear you actually read that they can change the itinerary. You wouldn't believe how many people fight that ALL the time! Despite what it says in terms and conditions. Long story short, it doesn't work out too well for them. Chances are they cancelled it for a good reason!

"The Sun is bi polar". What a great comment. When we were in Skagway last fall, there had been a landslide from the rock cliff at the main dock. they parked some old train cars to try and keep the rocks from hitting the dock/ships. Even though we parked at the dock, we had to water shuttle to town as they did not want us walking along the dock. Sorry you missed Skagway, but Sitka is beautiful and we could see whales from our parked ship

We sailed on the Volendam last May and steak was offered every night on the Lido Marketplace because that is what our son ate every night.

Sorry you missed Skagway and train, but Sitka is great port. Easy walking around town. Nieux Amsterdam is great ship. Love HAL

What a huge bummer you did not get to go to that one place you really wanted to go. Kudos. Y'all handled it much better than I would...which is probably why I don't do cruises. Too many variables. Too many things that could change without much notice. When I plan something out and I'm very comfortable with that plan (especially when I really want to do certain things) I don't adapt very well if the plan has to change and the less time I have to accept it the worse it is. That's just my personality

You will have to go back and take the sea cruise and land tour. Holland America is the best. Skagway is my favorite port..so sorry..I like Siitka as well. Elimis are high end personal products. In the old days there were no mini bars..hate them. We had mini refrigerators.

Did they say why they canceled the Skagway trip? That’s supposed to be one of our stops also when I go on Royal Caribbean next month. And we purchased the excursion for the white rail Pass.

The thing with UBER at Vancouver is they are not permitted to go into the cruise terminal at Canada Place. They drop you a block or two away. Only taxi's permitted. I used UBER last year Sept. 2023 and they dropped us off with my handicapped wife a block away with luggage etc. What a chore. Take a taxi and we found when departing the taxi was pretty much the same price as UBER.

Our cabin was just below the dining room deck, bad choice, staff were dragging chairs around the floor at 4am in the morning making soooo much noise 😫

We’ve cruised a fair amount & I am very happy to see the crew serving the food at the buffet. People have forgotten about handwashing already even after COVID! An Alaska cruise is on the top of my bucket list.

When we went on a whale watching excursion, we saw so many whales we got tired of it.

What an adventure you two! The ship is beautiful and so much to see and do. Food looks great and your room is very nice and a balcony! Alaska here you come!
