What does it mean by account suspended? ›

Account suspension is the temporary or permanent restriction of access to an individual's or entity's account. It is implemented to enforce policies, maintain security, and mitigate risks. Common reasons for account suspension include policy violations, fraudulent activities, abusive behavior, and security breaches.

A suspension is usually issued when a user commits a serious violation of a marketplace's rules, or sometimes when they repeatedly commit minor violations. Suspensions can be temporary or permanent depending on the type, severity, and/or frequency of violations a user commits.

Bank accounts are typically frozen for suspected illegal activity, a creditor seeking payment, or by government request. A frozen account may also be a sign that you've been a victim of identity theft. Each situation requires specific actions to unfreeze the account.

While the user's account is suspended, they can't send or receive mail. But they can keep using Drive, Calendar, and other Google services.

Keep in mind that a suspended card doesn't mean the account is closed. It could just mean you're temporarily unable to use the credit card.
